Born in England to Italian parents, Nicholas Poletto moved to the United States at a young age. And it seems the Italian passion for food and wine moved with him: "It has always been in my blood," he says.

Carrying that passion into adulthood, Poletto entered the wine trade eight years ago and has never looked back. Most of his experience comes from working at the distributor level in New York where he enjoyed the excitement of new product launches, wine dinners and sales. After five years though, he was ready for a new challenge. He moved to Martinborough, New Zealand for the harvest and stayed on for six months: "one of the best experiences of my life."

Poletto has since returned to the U.S. and is Kobrand's District Manager of Massachusetts as well as a WSET instructor in Boston.

"Wine has taken me on a wonderful journey through life," Poletto says. "One which I hope will continue for many more years."
